Walk The Wards videos welcome children and young people to hospital
The 0-25 Cancer Services East Midlands are specialist cancer services for children, teenagers and young people in the East Midlands. The website provides information for patients, parents, carers and professionals.
Alongside developing the website, Volute were commissioned to create a video series called ‘Walk the Wards’. These films are for patients, parents and carers who are coming to hospital for cancer treatment for the first time.
New website for a world-leading research organisation
The National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Newcastle Biomedical Research Centre (BRC), uniquely focused on ageing and multiple long-term conditions among 20 BRCs in England, partnered with Volute to create a website that reflects their distinct identity while aligning with the NIHR brand.
MindTech HRC website gets a new look
The HealthTech Research Centre for Mental Health (MindTech) collaborates with healthcare professionals, patients, researchers, and industry leaders to improve mental health through innovative technologies. They now have an upgraded website with a brand new appearance.

REMAP-ILD: a Platform for Global Collaboration
REMAP-ILD, led by Imperial College London and funded by NIHR, is the world’s first international platform trial for fibrotic interstitial lung disease. We built a clear, mobile-friendly website that explains complex science in plain language, shares patient stories, and grows with the project. It now serves as a trusted hub for patients, researchers, and global collaborators.
Branding and website for NHS cancer services for young people

Cancer nurse training boosted by our bespoke Learning Management System
Our custom Learning Management System (LMS) developed for the East Midlands Cancer Alliance (EMCA) addresses the shortage of specialist cancer nurses in the UK by offering streamlined training with a centralised hub of information.
Launched in October 2023, the system quickly attracted over 1,000% more registrations than the client’s aim and has received positive feedback for its usability and engaging content.
Online wellbeing intervention tool for University of Warwick
The University of Warwick's WMG department, renowned for its research and education initiatives, faced the challenge of trialling two interventions for depression, anxiety, and insomnia: one fully digital and one hybrid.
Development for this involved creating a mobile friendly Learning Management System (LMS) emphasising user-friendly navigation, anonymity, and accessibility features such as subtitles and transcripts for videos.
Transforming Training Management with KUF
West London NHS Trust has enhanced its training management with Volute’s bespoke web application designed for their Knowledge and Understanding Framework (KUF) training program.
Previously overloaded with manual data entry across spreadsheets and online platforms, they now efficiently handle training cohorts and student affairs through a centralised, automated system, saving considerable time for NHS staff.
