A digital portfolio for a long-established firm of architects

We developed a portfolio-focused website for Allan Joyce Architects to showcase the quality of their architectural projects, whilst emphasising their commitment to thoughtful and sustainable building design.

We have designed, constructed and hosted AJA’s website for over 20 years. In that time not only has web technology evolved but AJA’s work and client base have also changed.

Challenge

Their new website needed to reflect their brand, showcase the quality and variety of their work and highlight their approach to sustainable architecture.

In addition, a more adaptable approach was required to add new projects with ease, allowing the website to grow with their expanding portfolio.

Development

Our aim in developing AJA’s new website was to blend modern design with user-focused functionality. These improvements would enhance the visitor experience and offer substantial advantages for website administrators.

We introduced new features that allow administrators to create and maintain projects more efficiently. Given AJA's evolving portfolio, they required a reusable, standardised project template that maintained consistency while still allowing flexibility for images and content sections for each project.

The Results

The new website successfully showcases AJA’s diverse portfolio with clarity and visual impact, making it easier for visitors to explore projects and understand the breadth of AJA’s experience.

Clear navigation and well-structured content help communicate AJA’s ethos, services and expertise, resulting in an improved user experience and increased engagement with potential new clients.
