WMG is a world leading research and education group, transforming organisations and driving innovation through a unique combination of collaborative research and development, and pioneering education programmes.
An academic department of the University of Warwick, and a centre for the HVM Catapult, WMG was founded by the late Professor Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya in 1980 to help reinvigorate UK manufacturing and improve competitiveness through innovation and skills development.
Challenge
Project Manager Charlotte Kershaw explains, “We wanted to trial two different interventions relating to depression, anxiety, and insomnia. One entirely digital and one hybrid. Being a research trial, data collection and analytics were really important”.
Research Fellow Dr Talar Moukhtarian adds, “We wanted it to be online to reach as many people as possible, who could access it anytime and from anywhere, so it definitely needed to be mobile friendly.”
WMG needed a Learning Management System (LMS) built within a compressed timescale, driven by the research start date. The content needed to be presented sequentially with the learning spread out over a period of weeks, so that participants would complete each unit in turn.
