REMAP-ILD is a global research initiative led by Imperial College London and funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). It is the first international platform trial created specifically for people living with fibrotic interstitial lung disease (ILD), a serious and often progressive lung condition with few effective treatments currently available.
Unlike traditional clinical trials, which typically test one drug at a time against a placebo and can take years to identify effective treatments, REMAP trials evaluate multiple therapies and combinations simultaneously. This adaptive design allows the trial to evolve in real time as new data emerge, making the process faster, more efficient, and more responsive to patient needs. By testing both new and existing treatments that could benefit those with ILD, and by being more inclusive in participant recruitment, REMAP-ILD aims to accelerate the discovery of better treatment options for patients worldwide.
Challenge
The project needed a website that could explain a highly complex trial in a way that patients, families, clinicians, and collaborators could all understand. The site also needed to adapt as the project grows and evolves.
Alongside the website, the team recognised that the project’s visual identity needed strengthening so a new logo was also required to establish its identity.
