Volute is pleased to announce the appointment of James Deacon to Director. Our Lead Developer for the last 3 years, James has launched over 50 websites in his time with us! His passion for programming and drive for perfection spills into every website we create, ensuring our clients' exacting standards are and deadlines are met. As Director James will be managing the technical arm of Volute,  continuing to have a hand in every website we work on.

A Computer Science graduate from the University of Nottingham, James jumped straight into freelance web design before landing a role at a global e-learning provider developing solutions for large blue-chip companies. In 2014 he joined the Volute team and never looked back. In a short  space of time he has become an essential asset that clients and colleagues alike find a pleasure to work with.

Congratulations James, we look forward to your continued success at Volute!

We are pleased to have moved into new offices in the heart of Nottingham’s Creative Quarter. We have moved into office space vacated by one of our clients, Allan Joyce Architects, who have extended their premises and we have taken the opportunity to make use of the splendid facilities on offer.

We are situated on Sneinton Market Square and have room to expand to take on new staff as we need.

Volute’s Tim Ryan says: “We’re delighted to be able to move into the vibrant Creative Quarter of Nottingham. We already have several clients in the area and are looking forward to making new friends, customers and suppliers in the heart of the City.”

If you’re passing, then do pop in and say hello. Our new address is:

We are delighted to be appointed by Halsall Lloyd Partnership to design their new website. They are a multi-disciplinary architect, landscape and interiors practice based in LIverpool, Nottingham, Preston and Newcastle and have a wide range of clients.

We will be working with them to produce a website that better allows them to present their portfolio to potential clients, put across their thoughts on the architecture of the moment and design challenges they are facing. Key to the site will be a dynamic way of displaying recent work in a way that connects with clients across a wide rrange of devices - computer, desktop, laptop, iPad, iPhone, tablet & smartphone.

We have completed the website for 'Characteristics and needs of long stay patients in high and medium secure care: implications for service (C.A.N.L.I.S)’. The overall aim of this project is to improve the quality and cost-efficiency of care and management of patients who stay for prolonged periods in high and medium secure forensic-psychiatric settings.

Shazmin Majid from the Division of Psychiatry and Applied Psychology of the University of Nottingham School of Medicine says:

"The process of producing a website for our study was handled seamlessly by Volute and they made sure that this service was delivered according to our needs and budget. We are very happy with the end product and will use them again for future websites."

We are delighted to be helping the Centre For Healthcare Equipment And Technology Adoption with their first ever website.

Based out of Nottingham Universiy Hospital NHS Trust, they help manufacturers, suppliers and healthcare brands provide better and more relevant market-ready products which to be quickly and easily adopted within the NHS.

The development of this site needs to be fast-tracked, so we hope to have more news on the completed site soon.

Meanwhile, if you'd like help with your NHS website, then give Tim Ryan a call on 0115 914 5839.

Hear what one of our clients had to say about our update to their existing website to get it ready for Google's new mobile search results.

We are pleased to have recently launched a new website for multi-award winning communications specialists People, Words and Pictures.

Their new web site is not only responsive (mobile-friendly) but it is designed to show their expertise in PR, editorial communications, strategic communications and photography.

We will have a full review of their website in due course but in the mean time, if you want to take a look, or particularly if you are interested in their high-quality services, then click the link to visit the PWP website.

When Sky Ballantyne, aged 11, won a school competition for her invention of a ‘learn to cycle’ harness, it was soon apparent that her product was going places.

It all started with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) project in school in February 2014, when Sky’s holiday homework was to invent a product.

We were thrilled to be asked by our friends at Touch Design to rebuild their website. By combining their great visuals and our cutting edge technology, we think that between us we have created one of the best graphic design agency websites that we have seen in a long time.

Let us know if you agree by visiting the Touch site at www.touchdesign.co.uk.
